Dear comrades of the European Regional Committee for Friendship with the Korean People,


dear comrades of KFA Germany,



I thank you for inviting me to this important and auspicious hybrid meeting in commemoration of the great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG.


July 8 of this year marks the 30th anniversary of his demise.


We remember him with greatest admiration. The great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG was the greatest man of all great men, the bright sun of Juche.


He fought untiringly for Korea's liberation and for the happiness of the Korean nation and people.


After having defeated the Japanese imperialists, he brought freedom and independence to the Korean people.


In the liberated fatherland he founded the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) as the general staff of the revolution and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) as the free and independent state of the Korean people.


The great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG was the heaven-sent great Saint and saviour of the nation.


Shortly after the foundation of the DPRK, the US imperialists started the Korean War by attacking the young Republic.


This was the hardest challenge to the Korean nation since its liberation.


Generalissimo KIM IL SUNG proclaimed the Fatherland Liberation War against the Yankee aggressors and their puppets.


In a three year long and grim war, the heroic Korean People's Army (KPA) under the brillant supreme command of the great Generalissimo KIM IL SUNG beated the aggressors and won a glorious historic victory over the US imperialists.


The DPRK was the first nation which won a military victory over the "superpower" United States!


Generalissimo KIM IL SUNG was the iron-willed invincible Supreme Commander of Mt. Paektu.


He forced two imperialist powers - Japan and the US - to knees in one generation!


After the historic victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, President KIM IL SUNG launched the Chollima Movement to rebuild the country from the ruins and ashes of the war into a thriving nation in the shortest span of time.


He made of socialist Korea the people's paradise where health care, education and housing are free and the taxes are abolished.


President KIM IL SUNG's life-long creed was The People is God.


His love for the people was boundless. He did all for its happiness and wellbeing.


The Korean people loves President KIM IL SUNG wholeheartedly as the tender-hearted father.


And President KIM IL SUNG developed the DPRK into the militarily strong fortress and bulwark of world socialism.


The historic victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and the successful construction of Juche-based independent socialism made the Juche idea known among the progressive people of the whole world.


On all continents a great number of regional, national and local Juche Idea Study groups were founded.


The great Juche Idea fathered by Comrade KIM IL SUNG illuminates the way to freedom, independence and emancipation of makind and to global independence.


All along his great life, President KIM IL SUNG fought for peace. The peace-loving mankind venerates him as a great statesman and veteran of world politics.


He passed away shortly after socialism collapsed in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the downfall of the Soviet Union.


The imperialists and their stooges predicted that "north Korea will collapse soon". But they were completely wrong because they knew nothing about the Korean people's mental and moral strength, patriotism and fighting spirit.


Thanks to the Juche idea and Songun politics the DPRK did not only survive, but became stronger even under the harsh conditions of thet time.


The revolutionary work of President KIM IL SUNG was continued loyally by Chairman KIM JONG IL who said: "Do not expect changes from me!"


What President KIM IL SUNG begun and Chairman KIM JONG IL continued will be developed by the respected Supreme Leader Comrade KIM JONG UN towards exciting new victories in socialist construction.


Dear comrades, concluding my speech, I would like to say that this historic place where we are today, the Ziegenhals Memorial Site, where comrade Ernst Thälmann guided the last legal meeting of the KPD, is a dignified place to commemorate the great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG who was a great internationalist and working-class leader.


Let us mourn his holy soul forever!


We will hold the memory of the great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG always in highest esteem!


The great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG is immortal and the eternal leader of the Korean nation and people!


Eternal Glory to the great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG, the bright Sun of Juche!
