Dear comrades of the European Regional Committee for Friendship with the Korean People, dear comrades of KFA Germany, I thank you for inviting me to this important and auspicious hybrid meeting in commemoration of the great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG. July 8 of this year marks the 30th anniversary of his demise. We remember him with greatest admiration. The great Leader Comrade KIM IL SUNG was the greatest man of all great men, the bright sun of Juche. He fought untiringly for Korea's liberation and for the happiness of the Korean nation and people. After having defeated the Japanese imperialists, he brought freedom and independence to the Korean people. In the liberated fatherland he founded the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) as the general staff of the revolution and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) as the free and independent state of the Korean people. Touching Story about Jangchon Vegetable Farm The Jangchon Vegetable Farm in Sadong District which President Kim Il Sung noted down in his pocketbook as a "poor farm" dozens of years ago has turned into a cultured socialist one to be proud of in the world and a spectacular farm reminiscent of a  rural city and its farmers’ living conditions become better off as days go by. The President made tireless efforts to turn the village into a prosperous one which had been called a village with sterile land. When he visited the village on the outskirts of Pyongyang for the first time, a girl agricultural assistant engineer said to him that she received an empty envelope in the year-end account settlement and income distribution as the farm failed to do farming well.
